If you are a first-time car buyer with limited or no credit, then you should know that the Ford First Time Car Buyer Program could be the ideal way to get behind the wheel of a new Ford model. This exciting new program makes it easy for first time buyers to get behind the wheel of a new Ford even without a purchase history. With this program, we bring our customers a lower initial down payment, cheaper monthly payments, and lower interest rates.
Customer Eligibility
To apply for this program, you can't have prior auto tradelines or major derogatory credit (e.g., prior charge off, bankruptcy, current delinquency). You need a Proof of income (POI) and residence (POR) that will be verified at time of credit offering, and stay minimum consecutive 6-months time on a job.

Ford Model Eligibility
Eligible New Vehicles
All new 2025 and 2026 Ford Bronco Sport, Escape, Maverick, Mustang Mach-E and Ranger vehicles are available for this program.
Eligible Certified Vehicles
All pre-owned Ford Bronco Sport, Edge, Escape, Maverick, Mustang Mach-E and Ranger vehicles certified by the Ford Blue Advantage program will be taken on account for the program. Certified Lincoln Corsair vehicles will be considered as well.
Program Duration and Usage
This is a pilot program available for a limited period, from November 20, 2025 through March 31, 2026. Vehicles financed or leased through the First-Time Buyer Program must be for personal use only and are not eligible for commercial or business use.
Competitive Rate Benefit
With the First-Time Buyer Program, qualifying customers may receive a customer rate benefit up to the maximum Tier 2 rate. This can apply to both standard rates and any available promotional offers, helping keep your monthly payments more manageable.
Available Finance and Lease Products
Retail Financing: Traditional auto financing with fixed monthly payments. Up to 72 months
Flex Buy® (New Vehicles Only): A financing option that can structure payments differently over the term to better fit your budget. Up to 66 months
Lease (New Vehicles Only): Drive a new Ford with lower monthly payments compared to traditional financing, within mileage and condition guidelines. Up to 36 months.
Payment-to-Income & Advance Limits
Monthly payments under this program are generally limited to 22% of your income, promoting manageable payment structures.
The program also allows up to a 100% advance before add-ons, enabling financing up to the full price of the vehicle before optional products.
Credit Tiers and Minimum FICO
The program is available across Tiers 0-4 with a minimum FICO of 640. Your tier and rate will be evaluated during your Ford Credit application.
Minimum Customer Cash Down Payment
A $1,000 minimum customer cash down payment is required. This must be your own cash contribution and cannot include rebates, discounts, or trade-in equity.
Program Exclusions
While we will make the best we can to help you, eligibility does not guarantee credit approval. The following cannot be combined with the First-Time Buyer Program:
• 90-day deferred payment programs
• CSPP programs
• FELP programs
